Went to Conroe today from 630 am to 330 pm for Largemouth bass. My buddy on boat was the only to catch anything and it was a bluegill and a lone bass. Tried to fish under the docks and standing timber, but the water level was almost at the dock levels, and the water just covers the standing timber--making it real hard to see what your runnin over with the boat.

Any tips for spot, bait, time, retrieve, etc.? I really don't want to get skunked tomorrow with no fish. Any tips are much appreciated and I'll try to reply.

Last week there was still some bass using the shallow grass that is left in the lake. Maybe not the best way to catch big ones now but may get a few. Swim Jigs or pitching TX rigs.

PS you are crazy trying to fish on Conroe on a holiday weekend!! lol

Haha it is truly chaos out there-- Boats and jet skis flying everywhere! Tomorrow I'm going to try to get on the water before 5 am and try to beat the crazy stuff. Fish seem to be at the bottom in most areas.

Thanks
