My buddy's triton for some reason keeps beeping when we are going across the lake. Its full on gas and oil. What could be causing this?

Water pump possibly. It's likely a motor issue rather than a boat issue. What type of motor does he have?

your oil tank on the motor may be a little low if it is the screen on the oil intake in the oil tank may be plugged up.

If it's a solid beep then that's overheating check the water pressure. Mine usually runs about 18psi at wot and around 4psi at idle. If it's a momentary beeping then check the upper oil reservoir if it is low check for a leak or make sure the cap is on tight or it could be the level sensor they have a magnet on the bottom of the float and over time as well as vibration rough water etc will make it separate from the float. there should be a plug or quick connect type terminals on the wires to the sensor if you un plug the wire see if it stops beeping will tell you if it's the sensor.

My XR6 did the same. The oil tank was only about 1/3 full, and on rough water it would beep, calm it didn't so much. Filling up the oil reservoir stopped it so far.

Thanks for the info. I'm having the same problem with the exact motor and symptoms. Did you just replace the float or the entire cap assembly (see below)?

Had same problem on my XR6, try burping the oil tank on the engine. If it won't burb may need to replace the O-rings on the main oil tank.
