Here's a true story. A friend of mine, now deceased, who worked for Cargill, traveled to Taiwan working in the area of animal nutrition. He was at a large hog farm one time and as they were going through one of the large farrowing houses (for you city slickers, that's where the baby pigs are born, he heard a baby pig squeal. He looked over and saw that the Sow (again, for you city slickers, the mother) had laid on this baby pig and it appeared dead. Dick jumped into the pen, picked up the baby pig and gave it mouth to mouth CPR. The pig came back and was okay.
The kicker to this story is that the local Taiwanese paper got wind of this and thought it was such a great story, that they had Dick go back out to this farm, pick up another live pig, appear to be giving it CPR and they ran this as a front page story touting the American nutritionist who saved a pigs life.
