Speaking of game wardens, scuttlebut is that they will be roaming the banks of WRC real soon, and once the cold front settle in, gets the fish in solid for the duration, will be semi regular fixtures there!
BRAVO!!!

Nice! That will be huge, because not only will it help with undersized fish but trash as well because usually the people who take illegal fish, throw [censored] on the ground, kind of go hand in hand!

Okay so the will be that shallow in the winter in creeks. My question is how far up creek channels will they go? Has any one caught them in white rock creek?
Also, is there any creek channels to be fished from shoreline around the area lakes? Or are all by boat only. I have a new toner and I am not to sure of my driving skills yet!

If that is what you need, then you could use the little tubes that coome with the slip cork stop. very small. I don't use the nibbles. Maybe you have some magic way to fit one of them stiff tubes on a hook, but I would even try that as it's not going to work. Don't over think it, just get some flexible tubing cut it short then slide it over the hook point and fill with nibbles. I don't use nibbles much and this idea was only for customers that wanted to use nibbles. Skip

I just saw your pic, and I thought of the little tubes that come with the stops. May not work,... I never use the nibbles anyway. Have never needed them.

No Problem, it's just that the tubing you speak of is too stiff to go over the hook. Not only that the connecting tubing used for tube flies come in many colors so you can actually match the color of the jig tail to some extent. Really didn't take it as a shoot down, just know it will not work that way. Skip

I'm not a big crappie fisherman but some friends of mine in Georgia are and they troll for them using bobbers. They use about 6 rods with bobbers and splitshots and troll with the trolling motor through an areaabout 2' to 8' deep. Sounded crazy to me until I started going with them.

James,
I've caught them several miles up a creek many times.
If Shad can get there, so will the Crappie.

Hey, wherever the shad and minnows go, so go the crappie and sandies, as far as creeks are concerned. My bobbers come in a 5 pac at that famous fishing tackle emporium, WalMart, and cost 94 cents a pack!
me being the big time spender and high tech angler that I am!

Congratulations, Ernest! Your jig and bobber thread has now reached 5 pages! A new TFF record for this subject! Last year, mine only generated 4 pages!
