I enjoy these short tales. Hope you do as well.
After departure from JFK bound for LAX after reaching level off, the Captain made his normal level off announcement:
"Ladies and gentlemen, we have arrived at our cruising altitude of 35,000 feet. Weather ahead is good. We anticipate an on time arrival in Los Angeles. Sit back, relax and enjoy...OH MY GOD!"
Several minutes of silence follow, the the captain came back on the speaker.
"I'd like to apologize for any anxiety I might have caused during my previous announcement. The flight attendant spilled a hot cup of coffee in my lap. You should see the front of my pants."
A voice from business class retorted, "You should see the back of mine."
