Boat docks and ramps are good because of the lights, especially if a new moon. Once sun comes up they scatter.

So how do you accurately throw your net for deep shad?
-If you have bow mount transducer, throw the net behind the boat as soon as you see the bait ball on your graph?
-What if you have a transom mount transducer? How can you throw your net quick enough once you see the bait ball on your graph?

usually deep shad aren't moving very much or at all, so what I do is run 5-7 mph around till I find a very large concentration, not the 1-3 inch bait balls you see floating around 1-15 feet of water. Than drop my ipilot and go back to that spot.

right now I am catching shad mid day in about 15-25 ft of water. On the graph you are looking for just huge concentrations of shad that will fill up your graph from 10-20-30 ft.
