Sensor in throttle assembly not telling motor its in neutral, allowing it not to start? Anybody ever had this problem? Put a whole new throttle assembly on it last week and it lasted a week and got stradnded again... Is there a way to bypass this? i tried wiring the two yellow wires together (no luck) . Any info wouild be appreciated. Thanks

Just now seeing this. If you haven't already figured it out, you will probably get your answer here. http://bbcboards.net
Go down to the Mercury section & ask. Don will figure it out. He has been a Mercury mechanic for 30+ years. He can figure out just about any problem. You have to include your serial number when you post your question.
