Definitely not the case anymore. Lake has no vegetation and is pretty muddy

I fished it heavily in late December. Water level is back up. Weirdest thing though, every big bass had already spawned. Fish wherever the wind is blowing in to.

I was surprised about the lake when I went. It will be a great change of pace from summer time fishing on Conroe. the bottom was a muddy mess, but I got a 4 pounder off the dam with a squarebill. I also had luck with flukes through the grass.
