I need to replace my fuel tank selector valve in my '90 Ranger 361v. The lever broke off and it's a pain trying to grab it with pliers to change the fuel tanks. My question is, can I replace it with a valve that draws fuel from both tanks at the same time? Also, where can I buy this part? I've looked online but can't seem to find any.

As far as I know, they have not made a valve like that for a long time, if you are wanting your tanks to equalize, just T them together and install a cutoff valve going to the engine.
Good luck

If you are wanting a valve like that, you may want to see if you can find one as a Skeeter part. My ZX202 has a valve like you are seeking. You can select port, starboard, or both.

I put this on my Ranger.
http://m.oreillyauto.com/mt/www.oreillya...0&ppt=C0025 Replaced the fuel gauge switch with a DPDT switch and now I can change tanks with the flip of a switch. Also the gauge now shows the amount of fuel on whichever tank it is drawing from. Been working great now for years and has lifetime warranty.

Have you tried calling Ranger? I might be in the same dilemna some day I have a 1986 model. Many years ago I went to change the hoses out and gave up. I am not sure that I can even get the valve off the boat. That valve is tough to get to.

I like this, and it looks like it's cheaper than the manual valve!

How did you get the gauge to read from the tank you're running on? Did you somehow wire the gauge to the same DPDT switch as the selector valve?

I have not called Ranger. The valve on my boat still works, but I have to use a pair of pliers to switch it because the little handle broke off...its kind of a pain, but I've been working on more higher priority issues before I tackle that one.
