So one day i was shopping around looking for a handle. I wasn't impressed by the low quality-high priced items that were available, so I made my own.
A trip to Home Depot and 6 bucks & change later, I had what I needed.
1 ground clamp
1 3/4" pvc pipe (2ft)
2 3/4" elbows
1 3/4" pvc cap
1 5/16" bolt (2")
1 5/16" locknut
1 5/16" washer
I began by first installing the ground clamp into a permanent position on the shaft. Mocked up one of the elbows and drilled a hole through top and bottom (the ground clamp conveniently already has a hole through it that a 5/16" bolt will fit through. After these were installed I glued a 2" piece of pvc into the opposite end of the elbow.
Next, I permanently glued the end cap to one end of the 2' section and glued the other elbow to the other end.
Once snuggly installed to the clamp section of the pvc, the extension handle is fully removable, adjustable and doesn't appear to slip out when moving up and down for different angles. I'm happy with it, and saved alot of money. I will paint it black later.
