I have been lucky enough to use some of the "prototypes" and all I can say is I just took most of the other brands I have in the boat out so I can replace them with these. They are that good. It is nice to have this type bait that I can throw in the nastiest cover and get it back in one piece.

Used them this past weekend and there freaking amazing.

Beat the crude out of them on some boat slips and heavy reeds, also smacked them into some rocks and rock bluffs, Had no problems with the wire pulling the blade from the jig head or worring the hook would straighten out. They run true and have great action.

Hey if I can catch a fish on them I'm sure anyone can....LOL

Great Bait, can't wait till they hit the market.

Can this style get around the Z-MAN Lures Patent?

yes. there are no swivels attaching the blade to the head. if i read correctly on the patent, it protects the fastening system on the original chatterbaits.

i have 3 of these, and they are awesome!

They have a second patent as well now. Just curious. I did not think the chatter bait used a swivel to attach the blade. I thought the eyelet went thru the blade.

Guys, I cleaned this thread up a bit and removed some of the unnecessary information, so let's keep this on the topic of the bait it's meant for.

This thread isnt about who has this or I made it first, or these people copied my bait and yada yada, it's about BOHONK bait.

Rick

Shawn, I really like the baits. I understand that he can't come out with a ton of sizes and colors right off the bat. But, Tim and I agree on the 3/4 ounce when fishing it deep along grass lines. I like the white/chartruese one the best. Wishing him nothing but the best on getting these in the hands of the fishermen. Sorry about the thread getting off track. I lost my cool responding to that one post. My apologies. No excuse for that.

Hey guys I will look into the 3/4oz size. We might have to make a custom mold for that size but will have to do some research. I believe that we can get them made in 5/8oz for sure.

Like Shawn said I am initially going with the 3/8 & 1/2 ounce sizes until the ball starts rollin along and people are stoked about the bait. I will try and have Shawn post some photo's of the 8 colors I am going to start with next week. I will also post a write up for the bait too.

Yeah, you would be looking at anther $600 to $800 for that mold. Best to come out with what you have first and don't put more out in funds than necessary to start out with. Can't wait to see the 8 colors. Still like the white/chart best.
