***Recycled Fish 24 Hour Fish-A-Thon********

Sept 10th and 11th

Anglers around the country will be fishing the 24 Hour Fish-A-Thon on September 10th and 11th. Would you like to be one of them? We're accepting teams until August 10th, and we'd love to get a California team on board!

This event is strictly catch and release.

If you’d like to participate, you need to know that you’re signing up for three things:
1. To fish for 24 hours straight, with a partner, and document your catches with a digital camera, then post
them to the website later
2. To raise money by asking people to sponsor hours that you’re fishing or fish that you’re catching
3. To raise awareness by being a good ambassador of the sport, our cause, SAFE Angling tactics, and
identifying local issues facing that fishery

A quick word on sponsorship. Rather than going to companies and asking for big money, the 24 Hour Fish A
Thon is about grassroots. It’s asking someone to sponsor an hour of fishing for $25. It’s asking someone to
sponsor your first 5 fish for $5 each – or whatever they can afford. This gets far more people involved. More
people feel ‘a part of something,’ more people hear about us, more people are involved in Stewardship.
There’s an introductory video you can watch here: http://www.youtube.com/user/RFAmbassador?

Teeg Stouffer (fishrecycler@recycledfish.org) know that you’re interested!
