Chain Pickeral are not pike but a much smaller southern relative. They are very agressive and very fun to catch!

Yep, and because Hawkins is so clear you can sight fish them with ultralight tackle for fun. Mostly though we catch them as a result to burning a small spinner bait or lipless crank while LMB fishing.

When I was in college we camped over there and fished Hawkins and Holbrook and caught a few Chain Pickerel.
