My dad wants to go on a fly fishing trip on the 28th -29th. He wanted to go to Broken Bow but it sounds like they are going to be running some water or something so we cant go there... (if i am wrong please correct me)
Is there somewhere we can drive to from Dallas thats under 4 hours away, and has some curious trout? thanks guys
By that time the Blue River will have been stocked with factory fish; that's only 2 hours away and small olive woolly buggers work well. There's a catch-and-release only area up there and they stock it with some decent-sized fish.
The wading is not too difficult. Watch out for some deep holes though.

http://www.LittleMissouriFlyFishing.com I have a question about the Little Mo'. If Swepco is generating, is that a good or bad thing for the fishing there? I know at Denison Dam if they aren't generating, you aren't probably catching fish. If they are pushing a lot of water through LOP spillway, you probably aren't catching fish.
