EVENT TYPE: OPEN FISH (NO SPECIFIC SPECIES)

Come and enjoy a day or two on the water with America's Finest! Treat them to a day of fishing of your choice with this open fishing day. This means you can decide with your service member what type of fish you want to catch for the day. If there is a group of anglers that are all fishing for Large Mouth Bass and you want to put together a friendly wager for Big Bass then please feel free to do so. The same goes for any other species of fish. Richland Chambers is a great fishery and holds a great diversity of fish and species. Fish for what you know best. This is not an organized tournament and there will be no places or prizes. It is just a day on the water with a service member. This is open to all branches of the service to include Reserve and National Guard. If you are signing up as a service member please make sure and bring your valid Military ID to the event. There will be an organizational meeting for those who can attend on April 18th, Friday evening at 8pm. If for some reason you cannot fish both days, that is fine we will be there until Sunday. Prefer One day
April 12-13

Hey Txbazzman! Well its a start and I was thinking the same dates myself. I like the idea of a 2 day so that the motel owners arent out any moey for booking for only one day in the middle of the weekend. If we go with one day then it will most likely be on the Saturday. Trying to avoid the overlap of the bigger trails to get max participation. Later Mike

I'd prefer a Sunday as it's my only day off. I'll fit it into my schedule no matter which weekend you guys pick. Any of the weekends in April works for me. I'm going to FISHCAST with the wife on the last weekend in March.

EDIT: I just realized that the last Sunday in March is the weekend that CAST is at Richland Chambers. Looks like I'll be there anyway.

Make it a 2 day event. 1 day for the tourney & 1 day just for fun. That way if there are people that can only make one they can still participate.

I am leaning more for a 2 day event myself but I am not the one hauling a boat to RC soooo lets hear from the boaters....

Well I originally was going to make the event 12th and 13th but there is a Media tourney that weekend on Chambers so I went with the next weekend after. It seems that our possibility for a weigh in trailer and has another engagement that weekend else where so if someone would like to see if we could find one that would be great. Since this isn't a tournament we don't really need one so it isn't that big of a deal.

MAKE SURE AND SIGN UP ON THE SITE WITH THE RIGHT FORMS.
The volunteer form is for someone willing to give up their time to cook or whatever.
