Texas Fishing League tournament 10/13/18 results:
1st 19.16 and big fish 7.17
2nd 14.10
3rd 12.62

My weather app seems to be stuck on cold fronts and continuing rain. North winds past present and more for next week is in the forecast. The rising water has covered the majority of visible surface grass (watch for floating debris up river) which has allowed for easier access in pockets but a stick of dynamite might be needed to get the quality fish out. Flipping a jig along the deeper grass edges is the best bet for a quality fish while most Tx rig plastics seem to get the numbers... On the positive side schooling activity should increase. It’s actually been good lately for numbers but fish are a mixed bag and most largemouth are just keeper size.Ther are lots of whites and stripers roaming suspended from 20-40ft.. CAST Championship this weekend. Good luck to all... Let me know if I can help (830) 768-3648. Thanks, Stan

Guide trip in the rain until noon today produced some healthy largemouth. In one area we caught a few decent stripers and whites then we moved on. Same as past weeks lots of fish in the grass and also suspended 20-40ft with bait.. North winds/whitecaps today and a water temp of 70 but fish were still active. Call if interested in booking (830) 768-3648. www.amistadbass.com Thanks!
