Get this and a few tarps to go on the ground. You need some space for your crew.

The solution to any problem - work, love, money, whatever - is to go fishing, and the worse the problem, the longer the trip should be. --John Gierach

For 8 to 10 people, I would go with 2 or even 3 4 man tents. You tend to run out of room in a tent real fast. Look at how they show to get the number of advertised people in a tent, hip to hip, flat on your back.

We have one of these and have used it for the past 5 years without issue. I just wish we could get the Australian version with the awning.

It is a massive tent with two entrances (one on each end), takes no time to put up, take down or get back in the bag plus there is no need for a rain fly. The only problem I have with it is finding a place to store it.

Can you at least donate to my tent fund?

Has it held up okay in the rain? I wonder why I doesn't need a rain fly.

I've considered a large canvas guide style tent.

Lucky for us we have only been caught in the rain once. The first time we used it a near freezing rain rolled in and it held up really well. The top has no windows and is made of a thick fabric so there is no need for a rain fly. Coleman makes a rain fly but unless you're camping when its snowing there is no real need for it.

Cman there is one treasure island that is going on a week. I do not know the rules for what is considered abandoned but there has not been anybody out there lately.
