Astros trade Giles to Toronto and acquire Roberto Osuna. A lot of guys in the Stros organization were not informed before the trade and are unhappy about the move. Osuna is coming off a 75 game suspension for domestic assault. As a fan, father and husband I have no use for a guy like this. Disappointed with my Stros today.

Yea disappointed in that move myself bringing Osuna in. Hate to see Giles melt down like he did, I'm sure he was really frustrated about the way he was performing.

Giles deserved to be sent down and even traded with way he has crumbled and reacted about it. Is sad to see someone like Osuna getting an opportunity to play for Stros.

I think this will prove out to be a bad move. Giles had to go but the chemistry is horrible on this one. Nobody on the team has any respect for this guy. Things seem to be unraveling for the Astros. Hope Hinch can navigate around all the issues. Right now the Red Socks appear to be the team to beat.

I'm very surprised in this trade. For a team that is riding as high as they are, this trade may prove that team chemistry is way more important than one realizes. Stros mgmt may have upset the whole applecart. Domestic violence is one act that people do not forgive & forget....

Has anyone looked into exactly what happened with Osuna? I can't seem to find anything about it other than he is due in court tomorrow. Apparently in Canada, the hint of any type of domestic issue results in a charge. I have read that the charges may be dropped tomorrow.

There is a whole lot of guessing that this dude is bad news when no one really knows the details. I'm just playing devils advocate here, if he's a scum bag then he's a scum bag. If he isn't, then he isn't. The over reaction to this across social media has been pretty typical for these days.

The other thing is that everyone seems to forget Aroldis Chapman shot up his garage when he beat up his wife and only got a 30 game suspension. No one even remembers it anymore, especially Yankee fans when he's getting saves.

He beat the [censored] out of his girlfriend in a stairwell. At a minor league park, I think. Google it. Shouldn't be hard to find. I think they got engaged shortly thereafter.

Osuna has not been convicted of anything, MLB came in and issued a swift suspension to keep themselves out of the Domestic Battery firing line with no conviction what so ever by the actual courts. All the details on this one have been kept secret, I cant find anything on it and the Astros have also said they dont know the details. Most likely he will pay a fine and it will be dismissed. Until details come out or the courts rule I'm still a fan of innocent until proven guilty.

I don�t think Lunhow, Hinch, et al are stupid enough to trade for a guy who has a possibility of being guilty. That said, an empty spot in the roster is better than having Giles. The hell woth Giles. I hope he punches himself in the face daily.
