Black stripe crappie are just a black crappie with a stripe on their head NO SIR I Disagree!Not all Racing stripe Crappie are Black Crappie! I use to think the same thing until I saw one Mr. SK.`s videos.

99% of black nose crappie are black crappie. A few and I mean a few hybrids will inheret the black nose gene. Some hybrids are blacknose, but not all blacknose are hybrids.

I too have heard they are genetically different (genetic variation like race, hair color, or eye color) than a true black. I recently had a buddy catch a white crappie with this same stripe and it was pretty cool.

I saw a huge one caught at Leon on Friday had to be at least 2.5 pounds.
Mohawks are Black Crappie count the dorsal fins
the stripe is a genetic dominant gene. I also believe Mohawks are all female if I read it correctly.
