Tilapia in Lake Lewisville

I went fishing Wed morning and while throwing the net I caught a tilapia. I thought that they could not survive cold water. Is that correct? Some one must have let this one go is the only thing I can figure. Bait is what I see. It is about 8 inches long. BTW fishing was not good on Wed. I think the best fish we caught was a 5 lb hybrid on cut shad.

There are bunch of them here in grapevine. They are supposed to die when the waters drop below 50

There are bunch of them here in grapevine. They are supposed to die when the waters drop below 50 Are they surviving somehow? Or do you think people are replenishing the supply?
