They just lost most of the corn crop to the heat and drought. I wonder how this will affect ethanol?

Keeping fresh fuel in your tank is the best deterant for fuel separation, and as stated above using good filters and lines and making sure they are maintained on a regular basis.

Biobor is not alcohol based.

Per the Wall Street Journal, the driving force behind current rising gas prices is not oil but the cost of ethanol due to the drought. The gas companies are required by federal law to add 10% ethanol no matter what the cost or effects.

So how do the places selling gas with no ethanol get around that requirement?

I am also curious why not tell others what you were told on what works and what does not?

Be careful adding any kind of extra fuel filters or water seperators depending on your motor because it may create to much fuel restriction. Especially guys who are still under waranty I would check with the manufacturer of whatever brand you run. I run a 2007 mercury pro xs 225 and read on BBC that mercury actually would prefer you not to put anything extra on your fuel system as it is already designed to run with ethanol. They do say however the use of fuel treatments are recomended.
