I am thinking about going out there this week one evening. Where exactly is it, and which pond should I fish? Someone was saying that there are 4-5 ponds there. Is there a map or something of the nature center, or can someone tell me how to get to the best pond there? Thanks

Check Fatty's link. I like A, B & C. Haven't had much luck in E but others have. I stopped by there Thursday evening. Had a few minutes while my daughter was at little gym. Worked a 4 inch floating rapala about a foot below the surface. Hadn't planned on fishing so that's all I had with me. Caught two dinks and missed a third in A. Caught one dink in C and had tons of bream hitting the rapala.
Hadn't been since April. At that time, they had used something to clear out all the plant life in the ponds. The vegetation has now come back some. Might have to try it again one evening this week.
Another reason I enjoy sunnies, they're pretty

B used to have some SERIOUS crappie. Watched a guy on several consecutive trips carrying out 5-gallon buckets full of 'em. Shockingly, they aren't too common anymore.

Thanks for that link. I will probably go out Monday or Wednesday, or maybe both days. Is there parking around all the ponds, or do you have to park somewhere then walk to all the ponds? Also, do you take the Colleyville exit if you are heading East on 820 from Haltom City, then go north about 5 miles? Is that all? Thanks Again.

So I went out there this evening to try it out, and I did not catch a thing. I fished ponds A,B, & C. I had a few bites, but nothing. I used several different lures just to try and catch a bass, but nothing. I am thinking about going back out there on Wednesday, so what are some suggestions on the lures I should use? It is definately a nice little area, but there are ducks everywhere. So any tips on the lures and which pond would be great. Thanks

Plastic worms t-rigged and soft plastic jerkbaits/Senkos have done well for me in the past. Also, as mentioned earlier by Brad, I used to use a small Rapala with a lot of success. I prefer a countdown model, but a floater will work, too.

smal is the key, smaller line, lure etc. Also try lil spinners and top water pop-rs.

Try a Tiny Brush Hog C-rigged with a split shot on spinning gear. Like they said, the smaller the better. As for directions, use your computer and go to www.mapquest.com or www.maps.google.com & look it up dude! It can be a very frustrating out there so have patience & remember the bass are not smarter than you.

Ed! He is obsessed with that place. He's caught some decent fish out of there in the past month or so.
Small & slow is the key.
