It has been an outstanding lake for a very long time. It is also a lake that a lot of big tourneys are held on......so specific information is hard to come by. Main lake points, secondary points & humps on your gps....and any grass you can find are good places to start.

There are a ton of good fisherman there that know specifics but really this a lake where you just go fishing. The above list is a great stuff, if you are in those areas you are without a doubt around fish

Just be careful getting to those places. Deer stand is right there by Jackson Hill. There are a lot of nice coves, with grass right there when you take a left around that big island from the Jackson Hill cove before the 147 bridge. Good luck.

Can you fish the deer stand with the lake this low? Would not think you could get into it now

Yes, I fished it 8' low last year in April and it is 8.8' low now I would assume so. Good crappie spot.

Red trap would be a first choice to search with. The fish will be in drains feeding the sponding flats. Look for grass, fish relate to that. Lake is up 2-3 feet so that grass will be 3 to 7 feet deep. You need to hit the grass with the trap so use both 1/2 and 3/4 oz to see which works the best. Move until you get a hit and then concentrate on the area maybe catching several. Deer stand is close, then the canyons, and then
harvey creek.
