So I drive 3hours to see a boat that the owner said was "like new". We pull up to the place and the 19 1/2 ft Polar was beautiful. Big and wide with a 150 yamaha 4 stroke on the back. The prop looked new so I asked him and he said yes there were some dings on the old one so he replaced it and hadnt even put it in the water since he put the new one on. I asked him if he had the old prop and he said he threw it away---odd. So I am looking at the boat thinking about what a fishing machine it could be and my buddy Tony said "Um yo may want to come look at this" The owner quickly said "Oh that is just cosmetic" The cosmetic damage was a huge crack across the entire transom--it was even starting to crack across the dry storage area. I quickly lost interest in the boat. Thanks TOny for looking out for me.

thank your buddy for saving you a big headache. Always bring someone to look over whatever you are buying while you talk it out with the owner. Very wise thing to do.
