got back into bass fishing after i got out of the marine corps 2 1/2 yrs ago. looking for small affordable single angler weekend tournaments. Or if anybody needs a partner for team events, i'm in the north east texas area close to fork tawakoni and palestine. never fished a tournament before. but im hooked on this whole fishing thing and looking to ease my competitive fire.

I know of a good club but I'm not telling where :p.

I'd start in the tournament section. Check with your local Academy or sporting goods store. They will probably be able to point you in the right direction of a good local club. Our Houston club is fun, competitive, and relatively inexpensive (10-15 a tournament, small plaques for awards). The biggest expense is gas.
