depends on how much much you care about the other person in the boat lol. Its easier to land a big fish sitting down reaching over the side of the boat without a second console.

Really cut's down on the boat space. But helps partner in the cold and rain. Your choice

Depends if you like your fishing partner. Single console so much easier to fish out of.

I went from having a 19ft single for 10 years to a 20.5ft dual. The dual does have downsides like harder to get rods in and out of locker (at least on my old model 519) to harder to swing a fish to the bottom of the boat. Despite the downsides I really like having the extra console and the main reason is the glove box is a great thing to have. Also if partners tackle will not fit in storage he can put it under the console and it stays pretty dry

Get a dual console....then you can take it out and have a "convertible"....that is what I did to my Ranger 522....it gives you options.

Go with the single. Your wife is going to gripe anyway so she might as well have a reason.

I have a dual console CHAMPION 181. The other console makes it impossible to lay rods out straight back on deck, they are always hanging over the edge. I'm constantly making sure non go overboard in the stumpy areas I fish. My buddy has the same size Triton but single console, laying out our 7' rods is not an issue. Rainy, cold days it's definately an advantage with the dual. The glove box is something my buddy misses on his.

Single all the way!!! I would never in my life by another daul, It takes up to much room for nothing but keeping a little wind or rain off the non boater. Well if they can fish in wind and rain..They don't need to be on my boat!! Those are the best times to be on the water. Por's are all the room and easyer to get your rods in and out of the rod box and makes landing fish alot eaasyer...IMHO

Love my single console. My brother-in-law has a dual console, and rode with him in the wind and rain. I still got wet and cold. Not worth the room it takes up on the boat.

Dual console unless you're a loner. It's winter now, without a console you're going to be freezing your soon to be ex partner's $ss off going 60+ mph. I also think the resale value in much better on a dual console, plus they look better, to me anyway. Wife and kids should be considered, even if you don't have that combo now, you'll most likely have the boat for quite awhile, and things happen. Good luck, Randy

My new boat has dual but it also can be removed, best of both worlds, I will leave it in when weather is a factor and when the wife is fishing,

Hey Dewight if you put it back in you will have to use an epoxy to hold it. The screws will not hold the console in by themselves. They are just to hold it in place till the epoxy dries.

We had a tournie 4 weeks ago and the temps at take off were 25 with a 20 MPH wind there were only 2 duals out there out of close to 30 boats. Besides that what outter and rain wear is for
