Here's the way I make them. Nothing fancy.

I use an empty large liquor bottle and put in a whole large can of tomato juice. Using a funnel then add 1 tb. of worchestershire sauce, teaspoon of celery salt, 2-4 shakes of tabasco sauce, and fill the rest of the bottle up with vodka to the bottom of the neck label. They are better after setting in the bottle in the refrigerator overnight. I drink them with crushed ice so they last longer!

Absolut - not my favorite but works well in bloodys, you can get the absolut pepar for extra spice

A good thick bloody mix

pepper, celery salt, squeeze a lime, dab of either A1 or werchester sauce.

Now here is the final key.....just after you put ice in the glass, pour about 2 ounces of Guinness in first. It mellows all the spice flavor and helps kills the ensuing heart burn.

Try Clamato juice. Pretty darn good.

Thanks for the recipe. Last year the winning drink was also using Zing-Zang.

+2 on Zing Zang...+ horseradish, Worshershire and celery salt. What else do you need? The kind of vodka is not important..you can't taste it anyway...

100% disagree, the vodka is very important and you should be able to taste it a little if made properly. The above recipes are good but I would add some ground ginger. Tomato juice, Mr. Lee's Rooster Sauce, ground ginger, black pepper vodka, worcestershire, celery salt, lemon/lime juice to taste, olives and celery.

Try interesting garnishes too :

Bell pepper (cut into rings)
Pepperoni
Cocktail onions
Jalapeno stuffed olives

Anything savory and spicy is good.

My favorite vodka is Ketel One.

I like spicy pickled okra in mine instead of a boring ol' celery stick, wilted no less... Spicy pickle spears, etc all add a unique touch. Hope you did well.
