Those of you who are thinking about painting your tackle should be sure to use automotive paint and clear coat. Regular spray paint will scuff right away. I painted some Abu red reels and had to redo them. Even automotive paint will scuff off unless it is baked well.

I think the sides are aluminum.

Get some wet sand paper, scuff it up some, the real fine grit stuff. Let it dry. Then seal it with a coat of water tight acryalic glue... Then, and this is key, go throw the dam thing in the nearest lake or pond, a creek will do, and get a Revo.

Questions?

Why? When your revo finally breaks, that 4600 is just hitting its prime.

Questions?

Yea I have one, what do you do when the clutch cam of your Revo breaks? Or when the line pawl seizes? How about you buy a Shimano? Ban-D that looks really slick. It really reminds me of a Daiwa. Great job!
Oh, and for reference, I bet my 11 year old Chronarch A series will outcast, feel smoother, the drag is smoother, and will overall outperform your brand new Revos. The man is proud of his paint job, stop with the b.s. reel comparisons and enjoy what the man has to show, or don't post.

Great input 210. The reel looks great and Ban-D should be proud. I hope my comment about the automotive paint was not taken as a criticism. If so, I apologize. I was just trying to be helpful.

I look at things this way.. I've had way more positive comments to the 1-2 negative comments. This was something done out of boredome on a rainy day I think it looks better. Espically than the plain silver on the yellow. Thanks guys!

That looks great. I've got 3 mettles I wouldn't mind slapping some paint on.

I like the pattern of your reel painting,it makes a simple mettle look very attractive.
