Has anyone come up with a good solution for storing an umbrella rig once it's put together? It seems like you're really asking for trouble if you have 5 swimbaits flopping around at 70mph.

I use my tackle storage boxes and remove the inserts.

I can fit 3 A-Rigs in one box. Bait still on and everything.

If its the original bamalama apparatus, store it in the garbage and buy a knockoff

I wash out 2 liter plastic bottles, then cut it 3/4 around just above the rounded up bottom. Put the umbrella rig head first toward the cap end. This springs them together a little but not enough to bend the wires. The cut end will pop back closed. A short piece of duct tape keeps it closed. They take up a liitle room, but they can be stored fully rigged without hooks being exposed.

put an O-Ring over the head and let it rest behind the head. When you want to collapse the rig, simply slide the O-Rig down toward the swivels. Then slide it back up to the head when you want to fish

I cut the one off I had on last weekend and threw it in the dumpster at the box canyon ramp at Amistad if anyone needs one.
