I saw the GW up the river way past boat ramp 11 on Wednesday in his big ol Majek. He said he was not having any trouble getting up there, just stay in the channel. He said he had not seen many fish being caught, but that he was surprised by how many people he had contacted who did not have a fishing license this year. Luckily he did not find anything wrong with what we were doing and he was on his way.

Those GW's love this time of year.

Everyone gets the bug and forget the most important item!

Watch your peach trees, and when you see the first pink blooms you had better be fishing!

I always heard when the bluebonnets are blooming...wont be long now!

Every year is different depending on the weather the flow of the river etc. and if you notice the picture is dated Feb. 18th 2003, so I will say I've caught them earlier and also later, but when the trees, and the flowers bloom, it's a good indicator that you are probably midway or further into the spawn.
