Hey guys so I am COMPLETELY new to freshwater fishing. Don't mean to be the annoying new guy, but I have some questions. I am first of going to be fishing this little community lake near my house that I have heard is just full with LMB and Bluegill. My question is what lures would ya'll recommend to catch a couple of these guys. I'd rather not start off with live or dead bait, but I want as much advice as possible. So if you guys would give me your own opinions I would be very grateful.

Thanks a ton.

1/16th oz. beetle spins, curly-tail grubs, and size 0 & 1 spinners (mepps, panther martins, ets). And tackle light enough to cast small lures with.

get a small, or regular size Pop-R. it'll keep you off the bottom & the strikes are great for morale-building!!!
frog, baby bass, clear, or solid black.

A bag of watermelon flukes & some 3/0 wide-gap worm hooks
will get the rest. good luck & post a report!

You going to La Centerra?

If so, I would suggest using downsized Watermelon-color soft plastics (Senkos and Worms) and retrieve them slow. The water is often clear.

Get yourself a couple Rebel Crickhoppers, a good assortment of curly tail and triple tip tail grubs in 1"-3" sizes and some plain jigheads in 1/64th - 1/8th oz sizes.

for bass right now id try
-an 1/8 oz spinner bait in white with colorados with a slow retrieve on the bottom- if the water you will fish is pretty clear
-a crankbait that can dive to or close to the average depth so you can fish it slow on the bottom also white or baby bass, black and white, nothing to flashy
-wacky rigged senko any green, purple or dark red, or brown will work in clear
-texas rigged senko or fluke in the same colors
for gills
-ultralight tackle and basically small inline spinners, tiny crainkbaits, tiny jigs, etc, and any insect or worm
