Picked up my new Cuda today and all I need is time to get it slimed with some reds.

Does the raised seat give it any instability? That looks like a more comfortable setup than my Tarpon 140, but I was wondering if being up higher causes you any problems.

No, it is designed for it. Same set up as my Coosa. Stable and comfortable.

Allow me to commend you on your excellent taste in watercraft sir.

I want one. Please post an update on the good/bad/ugly once you have had a chance to get it wet.

Good hunting,

J.

Have you stood up and poled it around yet? I am interested to hear a performance report after a thorough sliming.

Mick,
Anytime you want to try one give me a call. I have a Cuda and will have a Coosa Wednesday.

I have taken mine out 2x... I'm sure others with more experience in the boat will chime in but here are my initial impressions:

positives:

Very stable, particularly in rough chop.
Seat is ridiculously comfortable.
Lots of storage.
Tracks pretty well, without aid of skeg (optional add on)
Rod stager feature is awesome.

cons:

Scuppers are Loud, particularly in rough chop
Heavy, hard to move out of water
Transition from standing to sitting position is a little tricky (but gets easier with practice)
"Tupperware" style hatch covers
Buckle closure for "center console" hatch is a little unwieldy.

Overall I like the boat a lot. Can't wait to go fishing in it again!
