I called Bass Champs to ask some questions because I have only fished two other tournaments. She said once you check in you could actually go sit on your fishing spot over night but can't throw your first cast until 6:30.
Do people actually do this? Sit on spots over night? I thought that was pretty funny!

yes they do...we fished Dodge MegaBass on Rayburn 2 years ago and the winning fish was caught by 2 guys who got to the spot in their PONTOON boat at 3:00am and waited for the 1st first cast call to come over the radio...it was the 11+ the guy in the t-shirt is holding up on the flyer

since they are trailering, they will probably call 1st cast that early...in the last 2 years Berkely tourneys they did the same thing...you could hardly see but it was first cast.

A one day'er for $150 to fish for 7 trucks?
I bet the folks come out of the woodwork to fish this one. I would guess that they come close to getting their 1500 entries.

Yea I am starting to come off the fence to fish it. I just didnt want the wind to be blowing 50 mph and congregate everyone.
