moonriver, those look awesome, but I would want the heavier treble hooks. I like the red treble hooks but they just don't make them in the heavier size. I have seen too many of them broken when a big striper hits it.

We had to stop buying bucktails with the red hooks because they broke too easy.

When was or is the big fishing trip in the gulf?

I have heavier, stronger treble hooks. Those red treble hooks are used for the spot where we are fishing. There are too many rock fishes around. We just try to pull the hook, instead of losing the lure.
Thanks for you recommendation.

They are almost too pretty to fish with. Sandwichmaker sent me a lot of crappie jigs and I set some aside just because they were too pretty to use. I want a shadowbox to display favorite lures.

I need to get dad through some surgeries and I see what I can buy from you.

Any help, not hate, would be awesome. I want to go this weekend.

This is the better place to check.

It will list the proposed schedule for the weekends too. There is always a chance the schedule will change.

If you look at the water level at the Denison Dam spot, if it is at around 5', the generators are not running. If the level is 9-10, they are generating.

At Denison Dam

Here is real time hydropower data.

This is great info if you live fairly close.

I went to DD today. Did not catch any good size stripers. But the good news is that they start to hit top water lures. One 12# was pulled from OK side. Three 4# were caught on TX side. I will hit DD again next week.

Can't say that I have moon. I hear it's a very good catfish and crappie hole at times but that's really all I know. Sorry I couldn't be more help.

lol, dad = the grumpy old man who is dad to all the kids but is my husband. He made it through the surgery fine and in working through the healing process. He is going to walk a bit tomorrow. He had worked his way up to 2 miles after his first surgery and has to start from scratch and work his way up again. There is a lot of love calling him grumpy because we cut up with each other all the time.
