The wife and kid was watching this the other night. I walked by when Dorthy was in Munchkin land. I stopped and hit info of the tv. Oz was made in 1939!!

How did they come up with that many midgets (little people) in 1939? You would have trouble coming up with that many now. And this is the age of the internet.

As you were.........

Wait. Just thought. Didn't the OG Willy Wonka movie have a ton of midgets? What year was that made? You think it was the same group?

Ok now... As you were........

Those flying monkeys freaked me out...

Midgets are creepy. I think there is a short persons' actor's guild though.

Ever watch it to Pink Floyd's Dark side of the Moon? Does it really sync up with the movie?

Times were tougher then and most folk could only afford to be just so tall.

My Grandmother, a native of Corsicana, moved to Calif in the early 30's and landed a job as a seamstress. She sewed the costumes worn by the Munchkins.

The Wizard of Oz is one of my all time favorites.... clap We all know that the witch was the same woman who played in the Maxwell House coffee commercials, right? Margaret Hamilton. Much trivia with that movie. In the originaly released copy a crew member was seen hanging himself (caught on camera) on the set and no-one caught it until after it was released to the public.

start the Pink Floyd Dark Side of the Moon dvd on the third roar of the MGM lion and it matches up freakishly... strange but cool.

Can't see it to good from the picture, but it is the scene after Dorothy kills the witch and they all gather on the steps to sing about it. The little guy who played the coroner, Meinhartd Raabe, actually signed the death certificate in this photo. Nice collectors item.... cheers hangs on my living room wall.... thumb
