I have a couple cousins in town that are working here local for the next couple weeks. Wanted to get them out on some catfish.

Any news from Lewsiville I have not been in a few weeks. Last time i was out water was way high found shad easy but could not buy a bight.

I haven't been on Lewisville but I've been catching them on Lavon and Tawakoni drifting in around 30' of water on fresh cut shad.

It seems like they're scattered a bit but if you stick with the north side of the lake i think you'll have better luck. As for shad i have actually been paying close attention to my fish finder and have been catching them in about 25 foot of water. Just look for the clouds on your finder.

We've been doing pretty well drifting with fresh shad. Here are some reports from the last several weeks.

http://texasfishingforum.com/forums/ubbt..._20#Post4105448

I took our son out again this afternoon. It was pretty slow with hardly any wind blowing from all different directions. We spent about 4 hours fishing and another hour driving around looking at anything that will keep a two-year old happy. Ended the day with 14 blues up to 8 lbs. and a couple of channel cats. We caught most of those trolling 30-45 feet deep. Tried anchoring up on some spots where I marked lots of fish, but they weren't feeding. Had to keep the baits moving to get bit today.

I came out today from 9 to 2pm around north side of the new toll bridge with frozen cut shad. Trolling and anchor couple of spot could not got a bite. Called for a bad day.

Fish seemed to turn on yesterday for us right about 4pm...but as Bobby said, had to have the bait moving a little (without a trolling motor or wind this was hard!)
