you can find crappie real close to the outside part of a bend in chocolate brown running water they will be hugging the bank . dont be afraid to try them a foot to 2 foot deep there . as the water recedes they will go back into the deeper parts of the creek .this applies for winter crappie in creeks i cant tell you about lake bank shorelines because i will be in the solely in the creek in winter

I went to wrc off the w. lawther bridge and caught a few on jigs (blk/char) no keepers though. An older guy that wears a camo suit is always up there before me and he says he picked up 6 or 7 keepers everytime i see him (morn), seems as thought he's catching them right under the bridge and directly in the middle of the bridge under the junk pile. Hopefully they'll be moving in 2 weeks (guessin). Ill see yall out there. peace and fish grease...
