the water has gotten real murky after todays rain off of 78.caught a couple there yesterday. you can catch fish anywhere below the dam. plenty of room out there today.

all the fish at the dam are going to be stuck in there after the water recedes. the dam at 78 will block them. so they will be in there till the next big rain. with one gate open the water dropped about 3ft almost (compared to 2 gates open). fish just went a bit deeper. get it down with the extra weight. crappie will most likely go down stream to the holes i found. one was 17 ft dropping off from 9 ft. very fishy looking. saw some big fish on the graph down there.

but while the gate is still on, the sandies will be right in front of it picking off disoriented shad. fish from the creek to the dam. when the sun gets up a bit, they tend to go deeper (the bigger ones)

They can live in pure fresh water if the right elements are present...my parents have a golf course across the street that backs up to a lagoon and all the ponds are filled with five to thirty pound poons that are perfect on a seven weight and small whistler fly...funny watching them roll in the lily pads and hydrila mat.

Yeterday was a bit slower for me...we picked up a few crappie and sandies on minnows and panfish assasins then around 5'ish there was a brief hour or so of topwater action with sandies....I wish 20 people woudnt crowd your area and stand 5 feet from you literally when they see you catching...on top of that they are throwng crappie jigs on 30 lb test...c'mon they are pretty much everywhere below that dam... soap...oh well thats Dam fisin' I guess

Haha. Reminds me when I was I. Florida fishing off the bank and pulled
up a nice spec trout, all the sudden 20 boats surrounded my bank spot.
