My wife and I were there last week. We fished Monday through Friday morning. Our most productive lure was a 5" Senko in watermelon red/flake rigged weightless texas style. Our most productive area's were the buckbrush in shallow water near depths of 15' or better. We fished up the Rio Grande and up the Devil's. The pattern was pretty much the same. Caught a few on top water, rattle traps, spinnerbaits, but by far the Senko was more consistant.

Yes they Corps was droppin it about 3" a day. It was alittle over 12' low when we left Friday I think. But that isn't low at all for that lake. The drawing down of the water does have alittle effect on the bite but we still caught plenty of fish, and by the way those fish are still in the lake waiting for your trip.

Been into it for a many a year. Started bassfishing tournaments back in the early 80's. Was practicing catch & release then.

Only thing that Skip ever kept was Martha! ... Quite a catch for ol Skip!
