Anything going on near San Antonio?

Just curious... haven't been serious fishin' since February. Tryin' to decide which lake to spend my next outing.

Thanks,

I did well at Canyon 2 weeks ago throwing worms in trees in 15ft of water.

How about your electronics only, Boerne City Lake? No ski traffic there and good fishing.

Did you catch any quality fish or just numbers?

Everything I have heard lately is that Medina is on fire. I fish Canyon at least once a week , and fishing has been pretty decent. This cold front that came through has the fish in a funk as of 8/28. If you want to catch numbers go to Medina, little better size at Canyon. For me at least.

I had maybe 15 fish and the best five went almost 9#. Not bad, but not good.

"just" numbers?

Anything greater than 0 is fish in the boat!

Thanks all...

I fish Medina when the wife is with me - she enjoys that lake more than Canyon.

I think I'll give Canyon a shot first, top waters over night then worms and C-rigged flukes in the mornin'.

I've had equal luck at both.

By the way; TPWD is looking for a regular angler at Medina to give input to their lake reports at http://www.tpwd.state.tx.us/fishboat/fis...rrent&Submit=Go

I don't fish there often enough to add regular value but if you or you know anyone willing you can contact them through the website.

Enjoy!
