Just over a week ago I got out to fish the beach with some friends in Galveston. About 45min into it one of the rods goes off and after a good fight I had my first bull redfish thanks to my buddy Dave. Having recently moved here from California I mainly spearfished and rod and reeled for saltwater bass and tuna. Being able to catch quality fish off the beach here in Galveston is definitely a rewarding experience and now I am hooked on fishing the surf!
