What's the best color braid for surf fishing? And what pound test do you prefer.

I don't care about color because I always use a mono leader, something that's easier to see. For trout and whiting, 10-15 lb braid will do great. Have a good drag in case you hook up to a strong red or shark. For reds and shark, I have two three reels all with 300m of 60 lb pink braid.

I use 20lb, yellow power pro, I tie a leader, but a lot of people use green braid without a leader. I think it's mostly personal preference and confidence in knots. I don't think you could go wrong either way you choose.

I use 20# Sufix or PP, green, don't bother with a leader, I just tie it straight on with a loop knot.

I use Power Pro 30lb in Vermillion Red... Tie straight to the lures unless the water is gin clear- then I use a fluorocarbon or mono leader
