Port O'Connor fishing in early April? - 02/17/16 08:42 PM

Hey all, I'm new to this forum and was hoping y'all could help me out a little. I am looking into doing a little fishing in the Port O'Connor area in early April. I will be chartering this as I have never done it before. How is the fishing this time of year? What sort of fish are typically biting? Any info is greatly appreciated.

Also, if you have any guide recommendations, they would also be appreciated.

Thanks!

The good news is any decent guide down there will put you on fish, more than likely just reds and trout. The bad news is you might limit out super fast, then you're just paying for an expensive boat ride (my experience anyway). Years ago, I took a trip with Spoonys Guide Service out of Seadrift.
