Shade on the jetties/rocks?

Shade on the jetties/rocks? - 02/02/16 04:47 PM

A little vitamin D absorption is a good thing, but i'm no fan of getting beat down by the hot sun during the summer days.

I know some of you folks use beach canopies when bait soaking, but how do you guys hide from the sun out on the jetties/rock groins. Or is it even possible?

I thought about using a beach canopy/tent, but the fear of seeing it blown away in the wind is all too real.

Hat, long sleeves & pants, sunscreen.

Well, I, for one, would like to see someone attempt to set up a beach canopy or tent on the jetties. Heck, I would like to see someone lug one out there.

It might get there, doubt it would get home though.

Lol, maybe I didn't give enough info.

The jetties and rock groins I fish at, on Galveston, have a perfectly flat, paved surface in the middle, about 5-10 feet wide. Was wondering what I could use as shade on there.

Not referring to the jetties that are only large boulders, piled next to each other, haha.

The wind doesn't care if the surface is flat, paved or jagged. wink
