LaPorte Sylvan pier andTexas City Dike

Anybody have a report how the fishing is going at the Texas City Dike? I will be coming to town in about 10 days. How is the fishing at nite from the Sylvan pier in Laporte?

I know some black drum are still being caught at the TCD. Dead shrimp or crab on the bottom is key

I worked at the sylvan Beach Bait Shop last summer. Don't know how it is now, but I know all summer the bite was good at night. In a little over a month I saw at least 10 sharks, some nice specks and the occasional red. plenty of Sheepshead and drum too as long as it's not too crowded

Also, the Sylvan Beach pier shouldn't open at night until Memorial Day
