I need experience and local knowledge - 07/30/14 02:09 AM
Gentlemen,
I need an experienced bay angler to teach me how to go after trout and reds. I also need someone to teach me the do's and dont's of bay boating, as well as advice and what to buy for what I want to do.
I just moved to Houston from El Paso. I have a little salt experience from bi-annual trips to Sargent as well as three years spent in South-East Georgia (however most of that time was spent in Iraq). I am no novice angler either, I have my own rods and tackle, however I wouldn't mind some assistance on artificial in the salt.
I am not looking for a paid guide to take me out for 4 hours and then clean my fish. I am looking for an experienced "fishing role model" if you will. Basically someone wouldn't mind company, has experience, wants to fish a day and not pay for fuel or bait. I promise I am interesting company! I am a 1 footed 28 year old abnormally tall white guy who is starting PA school in the fall, has a family, was an infantry medic in Iraq and Afghanistan and is, in my opinion, the coolest funniest guy ever! Haha!
I know this is a weird request, I could be a psycho who is going to pull a gun on you in open water and take your boat. All I can do is promise I will leave my gun in the truck (by the way if you have a problem with guns in trucks we probably wouldn't be good fishing buddies "COME AND TAKE IT"), I am after all a white boy combat veteran in Texas, OF COURSE I HAVE A GUN/GUNS! Haha. Also, I only have a nub for a right foot so if I was the type to try to take your boat you could just push me to the right, I go down every time. LOL. I am just joking around now so it's time to throw the line out and see if I get a hit!
Thanks for reading folks!
