5/16 Flounder Report - Slower action on strong SSW wind and lower tides - 05/17/18 09:45 AM

I had new customer Fransisco T. group of 5 onboard tonight. Conditions were poor, with SSW wind at 15-20mph and slightly low tide levels. The hard falling tide combined with SSW wind made for lots of dirty water and widely scattered fish tonight. We got off to a slow start, with only 1 flounder after the first hour of gigging. We made a bunch of moves tonight, and covered a ton of ground, only finding small groups of fish here and there. Areas with nice clear water had no fish, and murky water was better over sand and grass bottom. We had to grind through the tough conditions, but we eventually ended with a 25 flounder limit plus 2 sheepshead by 1:30am.

Upcoming open dates:
May: 23
June: 12-14, 18, 19, 26-28
July: 1, 6-13, 15-18, 22-24, 26-28, 30, 31

I also do "late trips" if I finish quickly with my first group. Late trips usually leave the dock 10pm-1am. Please call for availability. This is the best way to get a trip on short notice when I am already booked.

Price: $450 for 2 people, $100 each additional person, up to 6 people
