South Padre Island - Last week in Aug 2015

We are taking a vacation to South Padre and if you have any info on fishing, food, things to do and see, please chime in!! Its our fist time in South Texas.

1st things first. Hit the jetties on south side of town during the day, Take live shrimp. At night go to the pier on port isabel side its very large and has a pirate boat parked out side. Use freelined live shrimp. Live shrimp or live mullet will work in the surf or if you're into wade fishing go near the convention center on northside of SPI.
Make a stop by south padre brewery for some good beers.
Dirty Al's has some pretty good food at a semi reasonable price. I'll probably be there myself next weekend.
