State Event Location and Information - 05/16/17 11:46 PM

We know it is 3 days before the event, but with the forecast of Rain and Winds on Saturday and Sunday, the weigh in will be moved to the Sanger HS parking lot and also the event will now be a trailering event. All details will be discussed at the Mandatory Meeting on Friday evening.

As all other trailering events, we will have a start and stop time, all of which will be discussed Friday evening. See everyone there.

Thank you

3 days or not, this is the right call if there is any chance of it being as rough as they are saying.
Main lake at RR gets nasty in big wind.

Will this open the Marina up for fishing or will that section still be off limits?

No change. Marina is still off limits. That is a regulation of Ray Roberts Marina.

Re: State Event Location and Information - 05/18/17 12:49 PM

I tried this via pm and it didn't work. I'll put it here, maybe it will go better. Is there anyway we can get clarification on the launch time now that it's trailering. Clearly our morning is getting earlier which is fine. Will it be launch and go at 430, 530, midnight???? I ask because this will probably cause guys who are on the edges of driving distance like me to need hotel room. Sooner we know the better. Thanks.

You may leave the ramp of your choice at 4 am on both days.

Start fishing at 6 am

Stop fishing at 3 pm

Be in line for a bag or with your fish in a SPONSOR provided bag by 4:30 pm at the Sanger HS
You cannot bring your fish up in your bag, if they are in line for a bag by 430 we will weigh their fish.

Ken,
Do you know if the state ramps will be open earlier than 6am?

At this time, I do not. Matt has been planning the event.

You may call him at 972-978-0487. He has been working on the coordination of all the events.

I apologize for not knowing

Ok, the only ramp that I cannot get the code for Johnson Branch, we will pass the code for Isle Du Bois out at Registration Friday night,

All other ramps you can access before 6 am

They did say if anyone is camping at Johnson Branch and has the code they could share it . So if you do let Matt or us know and we will pass it out also.
