I have a steak out pole that works well in shallow areas, looking for something to use in river and lakes, muddy and sandy bottom. Was eye-balling this, seems like a good set up for the price:

Any thoughts? Anyone using this thing?

That is a very popular anchor because it works great.

I have used this type for a long time and it has done a good job. I use 2 sizes, 5 pound in local lakes and 10 pound in the ocean.

I use this clam cleat to secure the line, it is a very quick release and by looping through your trolley ring the line and buoy can be deployed quickly.
